Vineyard
This small, postage-stamp sized vineyard was planted in 1998. Located on a small cul-de-sac right off Zinfandel Lane in St. Helena, the head-trained vines are sustainably farmed and produce concentrated fruit with distinctive character.
Winemaking
After a hand-harvest, we destemmed and crushed the fruit, with twice daily punch downs. We pressed at dryness and aged the wine for 21 months in a mix of once-used and neutral barrels.
Winemaker’s Notes
Aromatics of black pepper, ripe cherry, warm spices, and earth. A wonderfully varietal Zinfandel, with a dense mouthfeel and moderate tannic finish. This wine is drinking great now and should last for another 10+ years.
